❥ My favorite Bettysew | Vintage love & fabric nerds

Aloha & welcome to my favorite piece from the BettySew series.

I know what you're thinking.
And yes, the fabric is gorgeous.
100% suitable for the cut.
And my personal favorite dress.

While searching for fabric for the web version, I had an enormous stash, including original fabrics from the 50s in my closet, but anyone who knows a bit about it can guess why I didn't use them.
The fabric is usually a bit thinner, and for my project I wanted to wear a soft yet robust material. It should have a vintage feel and simply suit me.

My stomach has decided on INDIGO fabrics and followed the name of the 1.5m I bought. It's called Passion for Sewing, and it's a very soft and supple woven fabric.

The processing was easy to implement and the fabric also held up well to the repeated steaming of the individual cut pieces.
A patient and easy-to-handle fabric that I used up down to the very last scrap. A clear recommendation for even more sewing passion.

During the work process, I had started a bag in freestyle mode and shown it to the ladies from the PN, but I did not photograph the process until it was finished.
Fail, because it desperately needed a little guidance.
It is not satisfactorily feasible without the same material.
With an immediate trip to the fabric store, a phone call to a friend who had already ordered the last meters of fabric, and a lovely team at the fabric store, I was able to carry exactly 20 cm x fabric width home like a treasure.
Important loot indeed, and so beautiful!

The bag is now of course included in the ebook, and I have also incorporated many other suggestions for improving the sewing project.
My BettySew garment has flutter sleeves, a lovely bow at the back, and contrasting princess seams. For me, everything is harmonious and sewn with care.

And the first time I wore it, the pockets were actually the part I found most beautiful and practical. A large cell phone went in, along with two AhoiBrause (a type of fizzy drink), a key – which can also be used as a self-defense tool – and my little sausage fingers, because they have to check that everything is in its place.
And today I'm finishing sewing my JeansstoffBetty.
Let's see what I can report about this combination.
