For all Netflix series junkies, we have the right sew-along and the perfect opportunity to create a work from your favorite series using Swallow Love cuts.

Whether it's the Wednesday dress from the series and the #dieaddamsfamily universe, or a vintage outfit recreated from the Peaky Blinders - is a creatively free decision.

They are united by the common theme:
RECREATE YOUR NETFLIX STYLE BY SCHWALBENLIEBE DESIGNED PATTERNS.

PERIOD | February 14 to February 28, 20223

The sew-along runs from January 14th, 2023 to February 28th, 2023. All participants who tag their final project with the hashtag #netflixfashion and link to @schwalbenliebe.de on Instagram will automatically be entered into the prize draw. The winner will receive a lovely pattern and surprise package from Schwalbenliebe.

The three most convincing entries will be chosen from the heart of the nest on March 5, 2023 , and shown on Instagram at @schwalbenliebe.de , where the winner will be chosen by a heart vote of all followers.

CONDITIONS | THE CUTTING FRAME

For the perfect Netflix outfit, the patterns from Schwalbenliebe are more than ideal, and all patterns from their collection can be used for this sew-along. Whether you hack patterns from their collection or mix and match your own creations, there are no limits to your creativity.

FIXED: It will be an outfit based on a character from a Netflix series, made predominantly from Swallow Love patterns.


Participation is only possible with the corresponding hashtags, as well as a link to @schwalbenliebe.de on Instagram and thus consent to the reposting of the examples.

❥ PATTERNHACKS & EXTRAS

Pattern hacks using swallow patterns are expressly encouraged. It's especially great if you prioritize sustainability and perhaps create a wonderful new ensemble from old patterns, fabrics, and so on.

For anyone wanting to sew a chic little jacket, the Northern Lights pattern is perfect, as there are some lovely tutorials available for this single-layer pattern. One tutorial shows you how to transform this cardigan into a little jacket, and right here is an extension on how to add a beautiful flounce to this jacket. Looking for inspiration? Absolutely!

  • Find the waist seam and extend it downwards by approximately 10 cm.

  • Cut into the waistline up to the middle of the dart.

  • Extend the lower section by 8 cm on each side.

  • Sew the gathered section close to the edge at 0.5 cm and taper to a point, similar to a dart.

    Then work out the dart normally and sew over the end of the insert.
